Another egg-cellent year for the Kinder Easter Egg Hunt competition
Back by popular demand, March saw the return of our award-winning retailer competition, offering five retailers the chance to win a Kinder Easter Egg Hunt for their store. The competition is designed to help our retailer community to spread some joy amongst their communities and capitalise on one of the biggest seasonal opportunities for confectionery in the year. And this year we did just that!
Five retailers were selected at random across the UK, each winning a kit with everything needed to run an exciting in-store event - including Kinder Surprise stock, social media assets, bunny tails and baskets. The activity certainly delivered impact and wow factor with one of our winners seeing a 20% spike in sales compared to Easter last year, as well as having over 40 customers through the store in an hour.
Dilmeet Singh, one of this year’s winners and owner of Londis Gerrards Cross, said: “This is the first time we have run an event like this in-store, but activities like this are really beneficial in attracting more customers, boosting sales and building a longer-lasting trust with shoppers. I’m looking forward to fostering our relationship with customers by holding more events like this in the future.”
Levi Boorer, Customer Development Director, Ferrero comments: “We were delighted to help give back to the local communities of our retail partners, by delivering the ever-popular Kinder Easter Egg Hunt. Convenience stores have a great USP over the multiples in their connection to their local community, so it is increasingly important that they create excitement and theatre in the lead-up to key occasions – and what better way than an in-store Easter Egg Hunt?”
